Kettlebell Kamp Workouts
During the 20+ years that I have worked in the fitness industry, I have utilized a wide variety of classes and training techniques to help my clients stay in shape. In 2008 I discovered kettlebells. I will never look back. My Kettlebell Kamp workouts have given my most dedicated clients dramatic changes in their fitness level and their physiques.
A kettlebell is a cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. It is an ancient training system that was used by Russian athletes and the military elite and was popularized in the United States by Pavel Tsatsouline. It is also used by world class athletes such as Lance Armstrong and celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey.
What makes the kettlebell so different from traditional weights is the offset center of gravity which makes the weight come alive in your hand. Kettlebell training is all about movement. It asks the body to work as one unit as effectively as possible, demanding a strong mind-muscle connection.
A gym with no walls! Our workouts take place outdoors in the beautiful San Diego sunshine, utilizing the incredible parks of the Carmel Valley neighborhoods. Not only do we work with kettlebells, but we also incorporate ropes, body weight exercise, jump ropes, stair running...the list goes on and on.
These interval based workouts keep your body guessing and produce results. This type of training creates lean muscle and improves your cardiovascular strength. It develops total body strength, power and endurance. You will increase your dynamic flexibility and learn to work your body across a wide range of angles.
